The operation began on December 1 and so far officers have arrested 186 people.
Of these, 121 were arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and 65 were arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
West Yorkshire Police said common excuses from people stopped include “there were only couples there,'' “I didn't drive that far,'' and “I haven't had a drink since last night.''
A force spokesperson said: 'There is no excuse for drink driving or driving under the influence of drugs and it is always against the law.
