Morrisons opens new store on Bridge Street in Helmsley every day

The launch of Morrisons Daily will be hosting the post office at The Thriving Market Town, which will take place on Thursday, April 10th at 9:30am.

Residents and businesses are invited to attend the grand opening of the new facility. The facility will replace the existing premier shop and continue to provide post office services to 25 Bridge Street in Helmsley.

When the Helmsley post office suddenly closed in 2022, community campaigns began to restore mandatory postal services to busy towns.

Last year, Jagadeesh Kumar Kandasami, an experienced retailer who manages various stores, gas stations and post offices, resumed its business after making a significant investment.

He states: “Following feedback from the community, we look forward to offering Morrisons products daily at our Helmsley shops. Local residents and businesses can join us to celebrate the event being held at 9:30am.”

George Jabourg, president of Helmsley on North Yorkshire Council, added: “In regular collaboration with Jagadeesh since 2023, he has been continuously and proactively responding to comments and feedback from local residents and businesses. Helmsley's daily Morrisons has come to fruition.”
