The new console, first confirmed to be developed in January, features a larger, higher quality screen and new magnetic removable controls.
Nintendo said the new console will come with a variety of new social features, centered around a new tool called GameChat, which allows players to have audio and video chat with friends while playing.
The Japanese gaming giant has also confirmed that the new console will support players' ability to share the game and play with up to three friends, even if those friends don't own the game.

The planned console follows the original Nintendo Switch, which has been extremely popular with gaming fans since its release in 2017, with a hybrid home and mobile gaming system that allows players to carry the screen and dock devices at their home stations for use on their televisions.
The original Switch has sold approximately 150 million units since its release.
Switch 2 supports a certain number of original Switch games backward compatibility and upgraded versions of existing games, known as Switch 2 Edition games – specially expanded for new consoles.
