Mark Goodson, owner and managing director of Wayside Holiday Park near Pickering, says he is confident that he will be successful in the popular park this year.
“I am cautiously optimistic. I know these are challenging times, but I think there are enough social and economic indicators to suggest that frequently run holiday parks with excellent facilities in attractive locations will not only survive this year, but will flourish,” Mark said.
“Interest rates and inflation are important. They both appear to be under control and our forecast is that, albeit slowly, both continue to fall throughout the year. If this trend continues, confidence in the holiday park sector will return and strengthen.
“The long-term investment in elderly lodges could double as a nursing home is definitely a much better investment than a two-week holiday abroad, and a fun, if not more.
“So, to celebrate the new 2025 season, we are unveiling many fascinating deals for every area of the award-winning park.
“These are great opportunities to buy quality caravans and holiday lodges.”
The park is open for the new season, with 14 pitches in the low pastures right in front of the park, with two used static caravans, Arronbrook Topaz and Aronbrook Luxihome, available at competitive prices.

Mike Dramond, a recently retired office worker at Wakefield, is one of the new owners of a state-of-the-art lodge in Water Garden, in the heart of the park.
“Wayside was what we were looking for as a calm hideaway due to the quality of the park and its fantastic location. We originally purchased a static caravan there, but when we saw the impression of the original artist's water garden, they looked spectacular.
“When I approached Mark about the possibility of moving there, he said we could choose our first pitch. The rest is history, as they say.”
