The fast food company has been granted permission from the North Yorkshire Council to display two illuminated “McDonald's” lettering signs. Illuminated “Payment” lettering sign, 5 lighted digital signs, 1 lighted drive totem, 1. Height limit goal post, two drive-through canopies, 26 dot signs.

The application is for land north of Eden House Avenue in Old Malton.
Councillors unanimously approved proposals for the Malton Landowner The Fitzwilliam Trust and two other stores north of Edenhouse Avenue, north of Edenhouse Avenue, in March last year as part of Eden Business Park, near the A64.
The developer's agent also said the development would generate 95 full-time direct and indirect jobs during construction, and generate £5 million of spending in the local economy annually.
The scheme attracted a considerable level of support from residents who said they would save them from driving to York or Scarborough for such takeaways.
Opponents of the scheme want the site to be used for alternative food-related businesses, claiming that takeaways would dent the town's brand known for its “Yorkshire Food Capital,” and are known for its gastronomic walking tours on the premises of numerous artisan producers.
