The 75A Monkton Road planning permission application has made changes to the use of the five-bedroom residence for a large HMO. Submitted by J Aujla of J&P Properties (Yorkshire) Limited.
The house is located on the edge of the shop's terrace and next to the best convenience store.

The plan reveals which businesses are set to occupy empty stores in the heart of York
The design and access statements included in the application state that “no physical changes have been proposed to the building.
“There is a public parking lot at the back of the property and a street parking lot at the front door.
“The new interior wall divides existing rooms and creates additional bedrooms and shower rooms.”
In the planning application, we can see that the proposed changes to use on the 200sq.m site will increase the number of existing bedrooms.
The drawings included in the City of York Council's planning portal application show that three bedrooms remain on the second floor, with the first floor bedrooms increasing from the existing two to five.
All proposed bedrooms will be private bathrooms.
In the proposed plan, the number of cycle spaces will increase from zero to eight.
