Experienced publicans Malcolm and Eileen Goodwin are the new hires at the Rose and Crown bar in Sutton-on-the-Forest, near York, and the pub is once again open seven days a week. .
The Goodwins ran Plonkers on York's Cumberland Street for more than 30 years before selling the business in 2022.
These days, he helps out his family at Quinn's Wine Cafe and Kitchen in Haxby.

The only traditional village inn in the village, Rose & Crown features a cozy bar area, an additional lounge bar that doubles as a dining space, a dining area and a conservatory restaurant.
