Pock 7s prepares for Easter returns once the draw is held

Rugby legend Ian McGetic had a draw at the 2025 competition tomorrow morning as Rugby Sevens Rugby East Feast began at Percy Road Ground in Pocklington.

The non-stop rugby day begins with a women's tournament at 10am, with the 65th Annual Men's Event beginning at 1:20pm with the evening finale scheduled for six hours.

Pocklington Junior Sevens follows Easter Sunday for boys at levels 13, 14, 15 and 16.

The Good Friday draw includes seven Fowler Trophy winners, with nine women from the teams fighting the Amy Hardy Cup.

This year's tournament will see a good mix of local invitations and invitations from North Yorkshire and beyond.

Local clubs include Pocklington, Hull Ionians, Goole, Driffield, Selby, Malton & Norton, but also include Northeast Invitation Challenge and Catalic-based military Fijians, Lomaibiti, with additional spices from abroad.

A competition between women divided into two groups will allow Lancashire-based Metro Dogs to bid to defend their titles against Burton College, Pocklington, Selby, York RI, Northerrton, Durham University, Old Broadlean and Valkyrie.

Sunday action begins at 10:30am on both Kilnwick Park and the club grounds at Percy Road.

There are junior entries for York, Selby, Malton, Harrogate, Hornsea, Goole, Morley, Weatherby, Huddersfield, Bradford Salem, Loughborough, Acklham, Middlesboro, Gisborough, Yarnbury, Castleford, Skullborough, Doncaster, Cambria Pison and Paklington. The final is scheduled for 2:30pm.
