Poet Laureate Simon Armitage and LYR at York Theater Royal

Yorkshire-based Poet Laureate Simon Armitage and his band LYR will host an unforgettable evening of poetry and music at York Theater Royal on January 24th.

This unique and memorable evening will begin with a reading of Simon's poetry, followed by a live performance by a band featuring Simon, singer-songwriter Richard Walters, and multi-instrumentalist and producer Patrick Pearson .

LYR was formed in 2009 when Richard approached Armitage's publisher about a possible collaboration. After this success, the group formed with the addition of Patrick and went on to produce two critically acclaimed albums.
