Yorkshire Dales Museum Trust, which owns and operates Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, has announced that the event will take place later this year.
The experience is based on a popular film starring Tom Hanks, telling the story of a boy carrying a mysterious train bound to the Arctic on Christmas Eve.

The adventure begins when the train departs for a round-trip journey to the Arctic, led by a cast of actors.
To the sound of the film's soundtrack, passengers are whisked up in the Polar Express for an hour's trip to meet Santa, relive the magic of the classic story.

Passengers will read alongside the classic children's book, Polar Express, by Chris Van Oldsberg.
Santa and his helpers board the train to greet the passengers, and each guest is given the first Christmas gift.

Each guest will take home a memento bell and a golden ticket as a souvenir.
Family members are advised to wear pajamas for rides.

“We will use professional actors drawn from all over the country to bring Yorkshire the best express experience.”
“As a charitable trust, we will use our revenues to further develop, maintain and enhance our internationally significant collection of infrastructure, steam locomotives and historic horse-drawn carriages listed under Grade II.”
Tickets can now be reserved through the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway website.
