The robbery occurred at a house in Ryedale Court, Rivers Edge, just after 2.30am on Thursday, December 27.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a house in River Edge.
“Kirklees District Crime Team would like to appeal to anyone with information or CCTV footage that could help us investigate the robbery at a house on Ryedale Court, Rivers Edge, which occurred in the early hours of Thursday, December 27, to contact us.
“The incident happened just before 2:40 a.m. after the people in the house were woken up by the alarm in their house.
“They discovered that the thieves had broken in and left the premises empty-handed.
“According to interviews, one of the suspects was standing next to the victim's car in the driveway at 3:01 a.m. and was wearing what was described as a 'large coat.'
“Officers would like to speak to anyone who has CCTV of the suspect in the area and anyone who can assist with the investigation should contact Kirklees District Crime Team on 101 (police number 13240701397). I would like to ask you to do so.”
