Police are hunting a 36-year-old York man after a second man suffered a major head injury.
Officers are seeking support from the public as they search for Daniel Bhanura of Fossway.
The spokesman said: “We want to talk to him about the serious attacks in York.
“Officers are currently looking for Mr. Banura, but we are appealing to the public to contact us if they have seen him or know where he is now.
“If you know where he is or you are witnessing him right away, call 999.
“Please call 101 anonymously on 0800 555 111 or using other information or CrimeStoppers.
The police press release spells out the desired man's surname as Banura.
