West Yorkshire Police's Leeds Northwest Neighborhood Police Team recently conducted test purchase operations in Otrey, Edon, Horseforce and Adele.
An NPT spokesperson said, “The surgery was targeted at minors/illegal sales of alcohol and steam.”
In total, 11 facilities were visited and they all found to be compliant.
It is illegal to sell steam or alcohol to people under the age of 18.
The maximum legal nicotine strength of steam is 20mg/ml and the tank capacity must be below 2ml.
It is also illegal to sell e-liquids containing more than 10ml of nicotine in one refill container.
Starting June 1st, disposable or “disposable” steam will be prohibited in the UK.
If you suspect that the facility is selling steam or alcohol to minors, you can report this to police via 101 or use the contact option on the West Yorkshire Police website.
You can also report online via Independent Charity Crimestoppers or anonymously via 0800 555 111.
