Roadside support and insurance company RAC has revealed that the average price of gasoline in the UK's front yard increased by 0.65p in February to 139.65p.
This is mainly due to the rise in oil prices, which rose to US$82 per barrel in mid-January, resulting in increased wholesale costs at the beginning of the year.

Filling family-sized gasoline vehicles has cost an average of £76.81 since its launch in October, when gasoline prices were 134.33p per liter, up almost £3.
The average diesel price increased by 0.73p last month to 146.48p, the last price seen in late August 2024.
The rise in wholesale costs was primarily driven by a large demand for cost, along with concerns about possible supply disruption ahead of the president's shift in office.
“We're excited to announce that RAC Fuels spokesman Simon Williams said: “It is a shame that pump prices will rise again in February, and drivers have faced the highest costs in their front yards since late summer last year.

“The driver was an unfortunate casualty of the rise in wholesale prices through January, and didn't help global oil prices reach the $82 barrel mark mid-month.
“But we hope that a better time is on the horizon. As wholesale fuel costs drop during February, diesel prices will fall this month as retailers buy new stocks at lower prices.
“As always, pump prices on supermarket sites vary by 13p, which means you can actually pay for your shopping.”
