I think some people skip breakfast to catch two buses. Apparently 1,834 children attend this school. It is Bradford's only high school Catholic school.
Your article says nothing about the impact this will have on members of the public who use buses to and from Bradford city centre. At the moment, timing is difficult to take the bus. Often the bus doesn't come. Buses are already filled with children at schools in central Bradford.
People working or shopping in Bradford are encouraged not to use their cars to contribute to Bradford's clean air belt. Will Bradford City Council run extra buses to and from the city center during school children's travel periods?
We hear that at least 900 children use the school bus service. This makes it a hassle to go shopping in the center of town. It would be interesting to know how many people who work at or travel to the Bradford Center are opposed to the school bus service being discontinued. Can the council confirm how many additional buses will be provided for public use to and from the city center if this happens? They have not thought about the impact this will have on the general public. Many people will move away from the city center. We should have more school buses, not fewer.
