We arrived at Bradford and headed to the Cathedral. It was a glorious day and we sat in our garden seating, taking in the city views. I booked tickets for the organ recital. This only cost 4 pounds each. The organ recital is one of a series of weekly recitals on Wednesday, with the final one on April 16th. We then snake through the city, enjoying new pedestrian passages scattered with vibrant planting displays after a few months of winter. With new eyes, we saw all the spectacular buildings that would have previously been rushing in the past on streets dominated by traffic.
The sun was still shining when we arrived at Centenary Square. Relaxing by the fountain, we enjoyed watching people take advantage of the Mediterranean lifestyle and relax in the outdoor cafe. All of these are at our gateway.
My friend had not visited Bradford before all these major changes, but she was most impressed with the most positive and felt very happy to tell others about her birth city. me too.
