In some areas of my neighborhood, there is a lack of trash cans, and even when there are trash cans, trash accumulates around them.
I try to keep the area around me tidy and free of trash, and along with the occasional gentlemen with their trusty trolleys and trash-picking tools, I try to make it a nice and clean area to live in. .
I would like to pay tribute to the various scavenger groups that I read about in your paper who are doing a great job.
It's been well documented that Bradford City Council has been in financial turmoil lately with spending cuts here and there, but that doesn't mean we have to live surrounded by rubbish, much less. But that doesn't mean you have to live surrounded by overgrown hedges that have been untouched since last year. Best of my knowledge.
The City of Culture of 2025 is just around the corner, but littered streets, overgrown hedges, and ubiquitous municipal waste are a sign that the city is desperately trying to attract tourists to at least the wonders beneath the surface. hardly conveys the appropriate impression needed.
If there is a trash can nearby, please use it. If you don't have a dump site nearby, take your trash home and dispose of it properly, be responsible and proud of your city. Because some areas resemble landfills and will have a negative impact on the city during the showcase year.
