Yesterday (December 15), the Met Office issued a yellow wind warning for all of York and North Yorkshire.
A weather warning was issued from 12pm to 5pm.
Wind speeds exceeded 45 mph. Speeds were expected to reach 105 mph in some places.
Today (December 16) a tree fell on the footpath next to the River Ouse between Scarborough Bridge and Clifton Bridge (on the same side as St Peter's School).
Light winds and brief periods of rain are expected this week.
