According to county police, the incident happened between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, in Nunnington, near Helmsley.
A police spokesperson said: “A large amount of money was stolen from the premises.
“No arrests have been made at this time, but extensive inquiries are continuing.
“As part of this effort, we are appealing for information regarding any suspicious persons or vehicles seen in the village at this time.
