Sam Clegg's 'Send Me a Sign' has been recognized as a top contender for the Christmas tree by the Official Charts.
Now, the town is being asked to come together to help make the dream a reality.
The official Christmas Number 1 race begins today (December 13th) with sales and streams counted until next Thursday (December 19th) at 11:59pm.

Proceeds from each 79p purchase of this song will go to charities Re-engage and Friends of the Older.
Sam, 26, said: “It's a real honor to have this single recognized in the Official Charts as a candidate for Christmas number one, especially as I'm the only UK independent artist on the shortlist this year. Yes,” he said.
“It would be great if the town and surrounding area could come together behind this campaign to bring positive attention to our community and also make a real difference to the charities we support.”
Sam's single and video garnered over 400,000 views on TikTok and thousands of shares on YouTube within hours of its release.
