North Yorkshire police say Richard Moore, 40, of Esplanade Gardens, Scarborough, pleaded guilty to disqualification, driving without insurance, theft from a store and driving while driving a knife in a public place.
A police spokesman said: “Faced with York Magistrates Court, he was sentenced to 50 weeks in prison and his driver's license was approved.”
The Force says Moore was arrested Sunday night (March 23) for driving, theft and possessing a knife bureaucrat in a public place.
He was charged after the vehicle he was driving was involved in a collision on West Street, Scarborough.
