Officers responded to reports of the fight at Mile Crossroads, Halifax, and their weapons and vehicles were involved in the incident.
Two men were seriously injured as a result of the disability. Both remained in hospitals and injuries are not considered life-threatening.
As the investigation continued, six men were arrested in connection with the incident.
“We're accused of Calderdale Cid,” said Rob Stevens, detective inspector at Calderdale Cid.
“Similarly, anyone who sees the vehicle connected to the incident should be informed.
“Obviously, this type of obstruction must raise concerns in the community. We want to reassure people that we also have neighbourhood officers in our community.
“If you have concerns, come close to the officers.”
