The show, which will be held at Skipton Auction Mart, was named “Best Yarn Show or Event” at the Yarn Industry Awards announced by Craftworld.
It was awarded awards from management in two years by Kate Beard and Emma Sandow, who are behind the hugely popular event.
Now in its 13th year, Yarndale attracts visitors to Skipton in the UK and around the world. We host an impressive lineup of talented and passionate exhibitors, private tutors and speakers to appeal to anyone interested in creating them.
It is designed to encourage everyone to be creative with the thread, share ideas, inspire individual creativity, and become enthusiastic about the possibilities of new projects.
Alongside the annual show at Skipton Auction Mart, Kate and Emma showcase year-round creative workshops and regular sessions at Skipton.
At the weekly Skipton Town Hall at Yarndale Social, Yarndale Social is an opportunity to share the love of wool and the possibilities it has to offer, showing its versatility and sustainability.
They also worked with West Yorkshire spinners to create their own Yarndale Yarn in six exclusive colorways that take inspiration from the colors of Yarndale Sheep Mascots.
Emma said:
“We now vote for us and we want to thank all the members of Knit and Knit readers who have supported us since Yarndale was founded in 2012.”
She added: “Yarndale is a team effort that cannot be achieved without the enthusiasm and dedication of many contributors, exhibitors, speakers and volunteers, and we look forward to returning to Yarndale 2025's Skipton Auction Mart.”
“We've been working hard to get the most out of our business,” said Chris Cooke, Business Development Manager at Practical Publishing, the organizer of the Awards.
“It's clear that Yarndale really captured the creative minds of its readers, and this recognition of excellence in the industry is very obvious.”
Yarndale 2025 will be held on September 27th and September 28th. Tickets are available on the Yarndale website.
