Stephen Mulhern becomes host of ITV's The Big Quiz

Mulhern is best known for his various television host roles, including “Deal or No Deal,'' “Dancing on Ice and Ant,'' and “Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.''

Since 2011, he has also hosted The Big Quiz: Colonation Street Vs Emmerdale on ITV.

But Mulhern collapsed at the Pizza Express restaurant earlier this week and was taken to hospital.

An ambulance was called at around 8pm on Wednesday (November 27) after staff became concerned about the 47-year-old man.

He was examined by paramedics and taken from Sunningdale, Berks, to nearby Frimley Park Hospital in Camberley, Surrey, as a precaution.

This fall takes place after the death of her father, Christopher, who recently passed away.

Who will replace Stephen Mulhern on The Big Quiz?

Former Coronation Street star Sally Lindsay is set to replace Mulhern as host of The Big Quiz.

Lindsay, 51, is no stranger to soap operas, having played Shelley Unwin in Corrie for five years from 2001 to 2006.
