The Sutton manager was delighted with his players' performance against promotion favorites York and praised how his team executed the game plan laid out by the coaching staff.
Will Davis' goal gave the Americans a three-goal lead, followed by a header off a corner kick from Lewis Simper and a fine finish from a counter-attack.
Morrison went on to credit York with their performance so far this season and believes City deserve their current position in the National League.
“It went according to plan so I'm very happy and I don't have the vocabulary to express how great it was,” Morrison told club media.
“We knew we had to give up a little bit of possession because they were a very good team and they were where they should have been in the league, so all credit to them.
“We could have made it 2-0 before it was 2-0 in the first half, but we scored two great goals and a few more in the second half apart from the disappointing goal they got. Ta.
“It was one slip and that seems to happen to us sometimes. It was just one slip on the edge of the box and the ball went into the back of the net.”
“We got the win, it’s a big crowd that gets behind them when they’re on top, but gets on with it when they’re not on top.
“We had to play with that, but in a way the players were great and the staff as well prepared the players as best they could.”
Davies was a hero for Sutton after scoring two dramatic goals with two powerful shots past goalkeeper Harrison Mehle.
It was another performance that impressed Morrison, himself a former Championship striker, who praised his talisman's recent efforts.
Morrison continued: “He’s been great, 11 or 12 a season.
“He's been great, he's had a great season with us and he's a good player.
“I had to put him down because he said he lost his leg, but I haven’t heard him say that this year!
“He's been great and he's in great shape at the moment.”
