As reported by the press, the yellow weather warning was issued in York and North Yorkshire on Friday, January 24.
Currently, Met Office has upgraded this warning to Amber for some North Yorkshire -“danger to life.” These areas include Eving Wald, Piccing, and Scarbello.
From 6:00 am to 9 pm on Friday, Met Office states:
I recommend reading:
“Road, railway, aerona, and ferry services are more likely to be affected, and travel hours and cancellations may be longer. Some roads and bridges are closed.
“The roof is blown away, the transmission line is defeated, and the building or house may be damaged.
“Injuries and danger of life can be caused by fragments of flight, large waves and beach materials thrown into the front of the sea, coastal roads, and facilities.
Storm Ewin plans to bring a peak at 90 miles per hour on the coast and 70 miles hourly. Met Office says that it will move west to northeast on Friday.
