Residents were evacuated from their homes in parts of Wakefield after police discovered “potentially suspicious devices” on their property.
West Yorkshire police said officers had investigated the device Thursday at their home on Agincoll Drive, Altoffs, near Normanton.
The item was quickly evaluated and determined to be “not worried,” police said.
Evacuations and cordons around the property were lifted at about 20:00 GMT and ordered “as purely as a precaution,” a unit spokesperson said.
“The locals are grateful for their patience during that time,” they added.
Footage from the scene showed trucks from the Army Bomb Disposal Unit and several Army personnel on the street.
The images show people gathered near the scene by police security guards.
