The musical luxuries, held in St. George's hall on March 29th, are described as “an extraordinary concert that promises to become a landmark event for music lovers.”
The “powerful and moving” music evening brings together the Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra, the Bradford Festival Choir Association, and the Bradford Catholic Youth Choir, bringing together hosts of famous soloists.
The concert begins between us on Reena Esmail's This Love ot us, intertwining classic Indian and European traditions. Sara Daniel, chairman of the Council of Councillors of the Bradford Festival Choral Society, said:
“Conductor Thomas Reach, music director of the Bradford Festival Choral Society since 2008, will lead the first half of the program. Thomas, known for his dynamic programming and excellent choral orientation, continues to encourage the choir to grow and develop.
“The first half also features performances by Sitar's talented Kirtan Vildie and Tabla's Mehar Giotto Singh Sagu. Adding another layer to the musical tapestry, the Bradford Catholic Youth Choir will perform from the Grand Tier, adding over 50 young voices to the Anglican Church of the 120 young Bradford Festival.

“After the interval, the audience will be treated to one of the most exhilarating choral works ever written, Carl Orff's iconic Carmina Brana. Under the baton of conductor and composer Ben Crick, this dramatic and intense work will showcase the power of the combination of orchestra and choir. The event will bring a deep connection to the local cultural heritage to this performance.
“This concert also celebrates South Asian classical musicians on a global stage. British and Indian soprano Natasha Agarwal, Metso Soprano Shivani Ratan, Tenor San Deep Galipadi and Baritone Oscar Cascar Cascar Cascar Cascar Cascar brings remarkable talent and international experience.
