York's latest coworking space and creative hub, Bonding Warehouse is set to host a comedy night for local talent.
The news follows an announcement that Live Music is making a joint comeback with new tenant patches at the property next to Skeldergate Bridge and Terry Avenue.
John Peas will be one of the lineup (Image: Submitted)The bonding warehouse was an important part of the cultural scene of the 1980s and 90s, and was loved so much for lively live music, theatre and comedy nights that attracted popular names from Joe Brand to Lee Evans.
The six Yorkshire-based comedians will return comic relief to the building for their first funny Friday event, which will take place at 7:30pm on Friday, May 9th at 9.30pm.
With a capacity of up to 130 guests, the patch will be converted from a coworking space into a lively comedy lounge, including a fully stocked bar with local brewer drinks.
Tickets for the event are on sale now, with Edinburgh Fringe's golden balloon finalists appearing along with promising performers.
The evening will be hosted by York-based writer Katie Ringo, a regular on the York and Leeds comedy circuit.
Katie is a Laugh alumnus of the Leeds Stand-Up course, a repeat guest at BBC Radio York, and one of the first live comedy performers at the first Rik Mayall Comedy Festival in June.
