Leel Johnstone, 43, of Union Terrace, pleaded guilty to stealing £115.89 worth of meat and cheese from the Co-op Store on Broadway in Fulford, and £46.25 worth of food from the Co-Op Shop at Joseph Terry Grove off Bishopthorpe Road in York, with a six-month community awarded £40 and ordering a 20-day community.
Connor Heath, 21, of Lown Hill, of Acomb, pleaded guilty to causing actual physical harm to a Pickering woman. He was given a 12-month prison sentence suspended for 18 months, subject to 20 days of rehabilitation activities and 150 hours of unpaid work. He was subject to an 18-month restraint order aimed at protecting women, and was ordered to pay prosecutors' fees of £85 and a statutory surcharge of £187.
