The 4th Yorkshire Heritage Summit will be held at Skipton Town Hall on Tuesday, May 13th, 2025. The event, sponsored by the Yorkshire Association, brings together organizations dedicated to promoting and conserving Yorkshire heritage.
The summit will feature a free public exhibition and an afternoon symposium with keynote speakers. This provides a platform for heritage groups to showcase their work and highlight the importance of Yorkshire culture, history and landscapes.
Colin Speakman, author, environmental activist and creator of the summit said: “Her legacy is as much about our future as our past. Yorkshire has a rich and fascinating heritage. Yorkshire society plans to network and celebrate and promote a united voice of heritage, volunteers and the public.”
Since its launch in 2022, the Yorkshire Heritage Summit has grown into a key annual event in the voluntary heritage sector. Following its success at Hull last year, thousands of visitors are expected at Skipton this year.
Heritage organizations interested in participating can apply for the stand by sending an email to heritage@theyorkshiresociety.org. Visitors can find more details on the Yorkshire Association website.
