Humberside police say it happened on Prince Street in Bridlington on Sunday morning (February 23rd).
A police spokesman said: “We were called at about 1:30am and reported to be unconscious after being thought to have been punched by another man who was believed to have been taken away from the facility by security.
“Emergency services were present and a 22-year-old man was taken to hospital and treated for an injury that is currently considered life-threatening.”
Nicole Elliott, detective chief inspector, said: “We are in the early stages of the investigation and so far we can confirm that a 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of severe physical harm in connection with the attack. He has been detained in our custody. While we continue to be in, we are continuing and we are trying to establish a full situation regarding the incident.
“Scene Guard is located on Prince Street and allows officers to carry out multiple inquiries, including CCTV reviews and local enquiries.
“People in the area can expect an increase in the number of executives, and anyone with concerns should talk to them.
“Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have information that could support the officers with their enquiries, including CCTV or mobile footage up to the incident, quoted log 52 in February. , you will be asked to quote our non-emergency number 101.”
