Snow for parts of the UK UK Health Agency Cold Weather Warning Warnings This weekend, multiple regions including the Northwest
The unusual Clement weather in February is set for changes as temperatures are set to plummet from Friday. This is because the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) issued cold yellow health warnings to several regions, including the Northeast, Northwest, Yorkshire, Humber and Southeast.
Cold climate alerts will be present from 9am on Friday (February 7) to 9am on Tuesday (February 11), so temperatures could drop to minus 7c at this weekend location. Winter cold can lead to icy patches that pose danger, especially overnight.
This yellow alert means that the weather is likely to lead to increased use of healthcare services by vulnerable people and greater risks to the lives of vulnerable people. In addition to the revival of winter weather, the latest Met Office Weather Maps also predicts snow in some UK.
The latest weather map shows that from just after 6pm today, snow will be seen in the South and Central Wales, particularly around the Brecon Beacon and Cambrian mountains.
By 9pm, the area in the Peak District around Buxton is likely to see snowfall and continues to spread north until early Saturday morning.
By 5am, the map shows that the area around Yorkshiredale is also affected by snow, leading to Pennine. This winter weather is expected to turn into rain as we move further into Saturday morning.
“We've been working hard to get the better of our customers,” said Stephen Dixon, spokesman for Met Office.
“From Friday until the weekend, rural Scotland was able to lower 7c by about minus 7c.
“More south, we could see it through weekend zero temperatures.
“The rural parts of South Wales could reach minus 4C from Friday until the weekend.”
Dixon said it was a “cold time,” but not “historically notable.” He said the South Wales highlands can see a few centimeters of snow on Friday.
Paul Gundersen, chief meteorologist at Met Office, said: “On Friday, we see showers and patchy rain over the weekend, but as temperatures drop, sleet and snow can fall as temperatures drop in central and southern regions. The cold is sometimes emphasized by active eastern winds.”
Dixon said there could also be a winter shower on Monday.
