Tide by Trenchers in Whitby hosted a charity dinner to raise money for the Whitby Lobster Hatchery.
The event brought together representatives from local businesses, and guests were given a free meal in exchange for a donation to the hatchery.
The funds raised will enable the hatchery to release 1,200 juvenile lobsters into the ocean, contributing to the charity's overall goal of releasing 100,000 such creatures.
General Manager Dragos Stoian said: “We are extremely proud of what we have achieved together.
“The £1,200 raised is testament to the generosity of Whitby’s local businesses and their dedication to protecting the local environment.
“Supporting Whitby’s lobster hatchery means protecting coastal ecosystems for future generations, a cause that is very important to Tide.
“We source from local suppliers and use fresh produce wherever possible to support the local economy, reduce our carbon footprint and deliver high quality food to our customers.”
Tide by Trenchers is a sister restaurant to the award-winning Trenchers restaurant.
