Bradford: The City of Films will showcase site-specific, immersive screening of films outdoors on sites including Cannon Mills and Ilkleurid, as well as mobile cinema tracks that visit communities in both rural and urban locations.
The series is based on Bradford's proud heritage as the main center of filmmaking, which saw the city become the city of the first UNESCO film in 2009.

The outdoor screening program is part of Bradford: Cinema City. This sees the magic of the silver screen moving to every corner of the Bradford area, including areas where there are currently no cinema venues or spaces.

Incredibly moving cinema screenings range from kids and family films like Lorax and Fantastic Mr. Fox to pleasant hits like The Greatest Showman and Barbie and Action Classics John Wick and the Matrix.
The Silver Screen Classic Apartment and the Man Who Knows Too Much will be screened at 11am on weekdays, but there will also be an opportunity to catch up with recent award nominations, including the 2024 Vatican Set Thriller Conclave, the 2024 award nomination starring Ralph Fiens, and the seductive performance in the Saoa Earth Ronan suction registered drama.

Big Screen: Cannon Mills will be the first to drive in a series of large outdoor films in Bradford 2025. A drive-in cinema experience at Cannon Mills in Little Horton overlooks the dramatic streets of Bradford's historic Textile Mills.
A three-day screening for audiences to watch from their car will be held from April 17th to 19th and you will have the opportunity to see Kabir Khan's 2015 smash hit Bajrangi Baijaan, Bollywood Classic Ama, Akbar, Anthony and family free-die lip comedy Muirdgi Moody appear in various comedies Muirdga's release ceremony.
Additional films screened at Cannon Mills include a '90s classic speed and a screening of Good Friday Matinee from the family's recent favourite The Wild Robot.
Additional outdoor and immersive cinema screenings will feature a special summer splash on Ilkrillid during the bank holidays in August, with additional outdoor and immersive film screenings later that year with more films and events to be announced in late 2025.
