The Wyke Wanderers played a big match in the West Riding County League. We entertained our leader Lees Medix and our dentist at home.
The Medic started off well, played very high, packed players forward, and pushed them against them with a high and physical strength. Wyke certainly wasn't at his best as he had trouble getting the ball down and dealing with the slightly shaking surface and attack overload. Despite this, they worked hard and got their bodies behind the ball, but entered a goalless break. Wike knew the second half had to improve performance significantly.
Lois Cooper found herself on the chance to score, and her blocked ball fell to Millie West, who hit the ball behind the net. Megan Dunlop has created space to gain some threatening positions and created great opportunities. The alternative Aura Durkin came and went home with a great run to find the bottom corner. The pink woman kept pushing hard, but Emily McNulty worked hard in the middle and broke plays, while Louise Molinari was solid and got it all in the back. Annie Roberts stripped off his fantastic save to keep a very important clean sheet to see Wyke sitting at the top of the table.
Wyke deals with both Medic and Farsley Celtic. In both cases, a 6-2 win, featuring Shirley Murphy's hat-trick.
Ilkley Town was at Sherburn White Rose's house.
After 2-0 down, the BAHT-Bonnets recovered, showed their ability to enter a break level, and displayed great characters to win a 4–2 featuring Mild Dougson's hat-trick.
Next Sunday, Ilkley will be in Skipton. He lost to two first half goals on the Harrogate Railway.

In Division 1, the exhausted Sackley hosted the fourth-place Huddersfield amateur.
Thackley was brighter, retaining ownership and found a reward at 26' when Rosie Gill returned home. Just before the break, Denny Girls acquired a corner where Sophie Malden had a straight life in. At 51', Chelsea Morton passed a no-look pass between the amateur's back four for Molly Ellis to run and rifle the shot into the top of the net. At 66', Ellis and Morton exchanged well, playing Gill into space, then playing through Malden towards the slot home. Morton then picked up the clearance at the edge of the box and covered it with leather behind the net. At 83', Ellis won the second game of the game, with Demi Godson heading home and finally making it 7-0.
Thackley's undefeated Run sees them currently leading the division 11 points.
Bradford City U23 found it at 3-0 until Ackworth after just 10 minutes of play. But they found a way to get back to the game. The penalty was converted to 3–1. The goal changed momentum, with Bradford capitalising more on the second goal before halftime, reducing the gap to 3-2 on the break.
In the second half, we saw Ackworth put Bradford's defense under pressure. At 52', the persistence of Ackworth was rewarded when Kirsty Walker moved the header home to recover a two-goal cushion.
Bradford refused to get off without a fight, and their resolve was rewarded with well-touched free kicks that last scored 4–3 with goals from Emily Gill, Ruby Whittaker and Martha Brown.
Ackworth's combination of offensive strength and defensive grit proved the difference in an interesting and difficult encounter.
Field wanted to cause upsets against the Division 2 High Flyer Ranger athletic.
Shortly after the start, a fascinating corner from Charlotte Hill was brought home by Jules Jefferis. The field played some nice football, created opportunities and kept the rangers at bay.
The warm climate left concentration out, muscles began to get tired, and visitors went 2-1 ahead on break. However, the field remained calm as the Rangers took their target. It was an end-to-end game with threats from both the attack set, and it was a great game to watch.
Hill's gorgeous cross teased the Rangers' backline as Meg Scofield walked past the Keeper and connected and slotted. The field's defense is resilient, making it difficult for rangers to create clear opportunities. In a few minutes, former Leeds United Emily Cassidy slotted the ball into an empty net to win field 3–2.
Taisal faced a challenging match against Division 4 front runner Halifax Friendly.
The Robins started hard and created opportunities through Becca Ogden and Haley Robinson, bringing in several corners. Unfortunately, due to a lapse in concentration, Tiasar was down 2-0 on a break. The host grew into a game, and Amy Barnett poses constant threats and pressures for the future. Friendly had some great opportunities, but Naomi Reed pulled out an incredible save. Taisal lost 3-0 but overall it was a great performance against the leader.
Eccleshill United continued their unbeaten Legrand in a 9-0 victory at Lower Hopton Development, winning the Division 3 title in the following Sunday match on Brighouse Town (main pitch).
Eldwick Lionesses (Pride) took Ding-Dong's supplemental cup group game to the powerful Leeds modernist development side, but can take pride in a narrow defeat of 5-4.
Halifax FC took part in the FA National League Action in Derby County, with two first half goals. In their latest game in Horsfall, they played well in a close game with Sport Kalsa.
Leeds United lost the recent FA WNL Division One North Derby in the town of Huddersfield.
Last weekend, Huddersfield played a tight match at AFC Fylde, a late strike for Kate Marine. Leeds recorded a 3-0 victory over the ancients of Norton & Stockton.
