Sarah is the latest appointment to join Ware & Kay, serving clients across North, East and West Yorkshire. Sarah is a specialist agricultural lawyer with extensive knowledge in this area and works for clients within the agricultural community.
In her role at Ware & Kay, Sarah will strengthen our links with farmers, landowners and rural communities, providing expert advice and guidance to clients on a range of issues. This includes assisting farmers, property owners, and rural businesses with land purchases and sales, agricultural leases, and agribusiness tenancies. Sarah also assists clients with succession planning, partnership agreements and initial registration of unregistered land, ensuring clients' interests are protected and transactions run smoothly. Additionally, we advise on development projects such as renewable energy ventures and help clients navigate the complexities of large-scale land use changes.
Originally from Anlaby, Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, Sarah has over nine years of extensive experience in agricultural law, having worked on a wide range of both advisory and transactional matters. Her appointment strengthens Weir & Kay’s commitment to providing specialist legal services to the farming community across Yorkshire and beyond.
Sarah graduated from the University of Hull in 2008 with a Master of Laws (Hons) in German Law and German Language. She completed the Legal Practice Course with Honors at York Law School in 2009 and qualified as a solicitor in February 2015. She then built a reputation for handling agricultural holdings, large farm transactions, and renewable energy projects with the utmost care. Sarah's expertise includes advising on agricultural tenure law leases, succession issues, partnership agreements and initial registrations. Her ability to resolve complex land registration issues and collaborate across departments on complex issues has earned her a strong reputation in the field.
