Fish & Forest, which until recently was based in Micklegate, will move to Grape Lane, downstairs in the old 1331 building.
Chef Stephen Andrews, who is responsible for the Michelin-listed restaurant, said he hopes to open the new location by mid-July.

Fish&Forest was founded by Stephen as a pop-up concept, opening in Spark in 2018 and Micklegate the following year.
The pending move will significantly increase the cover size to 34 pages.
“The restaurant will be in the same style as it was in Micklegate, with the menu written on a chalk board and we will work with day boats and seasonal fish suppliers,” Stephen said.
“This fish comes from Cornwall, Scotland, the North Sea, Hartlepool, Whitby and Norway, but mainly from British waters.
“We will be preparing seasonal game, Shropshire boar. There will be 8 appetizers, 4 mains and 4 desserts. Quality is more important than quantity and the quality of the main courses is of a very high standard. “You have to make sure everything is fresh and everything is seasonal. The way I create my menus starts with vegetables that are in season and reflects that.

As previously reported by The Press, Stephen has already opened the old Fish & Forest in Micklegate as Notes Wine Bar.
He said the new restaurant, which is already open for reservations and will be accessed from the courtyard of the old 1331, will feature a large bar and reception area directly in front of the kitchen, where Stephen can greet guests before heading into the main restaurant. .
Outside there is a large courtyard for al fresco dining.
1331 Bar & Grill, which has been open on Grape Lane for nearly 20 years while construction is ongoing, officially closed on Sunday, May 26, but is now open Thursday through Saturday from 8 p.m. to midnight. , which operates as “Mini 1331'' on the second floor and in the courtyard. Owners Sam and Jan Robinson (Stephen's parents) kept the members-only pool club on the top floor and opened a restaurant called Pig and Potato on the ground floor, specializing in top-quality homemade sausages and mash.
