The Football Club has announced its accounts for the year that will end in June 2024. This confirms total stock losses over the past year.
York records show that it started in June 2023 at a figure of 3,166,144, but that number fell to 2,930,713 pounds. This is a loss of £235,431.
By comparison, York lost over 1,000,000 pounds in the 2019/20 season. This recorded a lost amount of over 200,000 pounds in the town of Wythenshawe, where Covid halts football competition and plays at three levels in the city.
The latest account also reveals how much the city spent on transfer fees between June 2023 and June 2024.
York spent £473,630 on promotion fees. This is less than half of what they spent compared to Wrexham, the previous National League winner in the promotional season.
However, there is no confirmation in the account of what the city spent on wages that year.
Staff has also increased from 58 to 69.
