Based in Arne near Easingwald in North Yorkshire, York's handmade brickwork company supplies over 40,000 specially manufactured brickwork slips and 30,000 paved cobblestones for Rose, a brand new hotel development located in the heart of Martney, one of Switzerland's most historic towns.
Lo dze is currently open and has received enthusiastic reviews. It is located 30 meters from Martney's main square and consists of two separate buildings around a central courtyard open to the public.
On the ground it consists of Borsari, a 50-room boutique hotel and 180 kitchens (just 180 km away from the centre of the Roman city of Rome, Milan and Zurich). Ground Royge is a space that was Les Cave Orsatt, a winery in the 19th century, and features the masses of Levines, a vast Roman bathing experience.
One of the most famous contracts in York Handmade's 37-year history is worth £65,000 and is overwhelming support for the company's recent decision to invest £1.5 million in modern machinery.

He said: “I was looking for handmade bricks of the right colour and the right size. The enormous nature of architecture was that there were no windows apart from the opening half moon opening on the first floor, and the bricks had to be visually strong.
“The results are amazing. The exterior quickly conveys the mass of the object and the history of the town, as well as the extraordinary material quality of the Roman baths underground.
“We have completed the public area for the project using York handmade pavement, indicating the area that is both distribution and outdoor dining. The brick slip covers the building on the main street side of the project and links the building to the bus and the town's Roman heritage.
“The hotel is currently open and is extremely popular. There is no doubt that buses, hotels and restaurants are the catalysts for the town. It links its future to the important past of Rome and the early 20th century.”
“We're currently offering a tiny, independent brick maker in the country,” said Mark Lacusevix, sales and CPD manager for York Handmade, one of the nation's leading small independent brick manufacturers.
“I'm proud to work closely with QDS Leisure's John Cletton for the past two years to ensure that the bricks are the best for this development. The results are amazing and a great showcase for bricks.
“The screams go to our hardworking and highly efficient sales office and logistics manager Tiffany Thomas.
“We are pleased to announce that York Handmade Chairman David Armitage has been a great opportunity to help us with the goal of our efforts to help us with our efforts,” said David Armitage. “These are crucial times for us, York handmade, and we have invested £1.5 million in new machines that have changed the way we make bricks over the years.
“This has proven to be the much largest and most important transformative movement in our history. Our innovative new production line combines three different types of bricks.
“For this very special project, we provided 327x102x50mm Han Singhor blend bricks. They cut into brick slips. They helped make the new hotel visually stunning and seamlessly blend with the other historic buildings in town.”
