York Kamra presented the Bussam Tavern with plaques that acknowledged members voting for York Kamra's Spring City Pub of the Season were recognized.
Branch Chairman Chris Treggelis told the media: “Some of York's best pubs are just outside the walls, and the herds of Bussam pubs are a great example. The Bussam tavern is the heart of this group and is a respectable winner of the Spring City Pub of Season in York Kamra.
“It's a busy pub for watching, watching live music and scheduled poker nights over the weekend, and enjoying live music, but beer is a star. What a selection!

“Landlady, Nicky Hunter were pleased with the recognition that they deserved.”
Chris added: “I'm sure anyone who has stepped into town from Clifton feels like pulling the gravity of this exceptional pub and trying it out. You won't be disappointed.”
Nikki told the press that everyone enjoyed the presentation, including a buffet.
She said:
“It means having good cellar management, keeping your beer clean, having a great customer base and having a great staff.
“We listen to our customers. Some people have said they have never heard of the white rat plum porter, but they like it now. If you're listening to our customers, you're not that wrong.”
Nikki is in her eighth year and has continued since running Molly's tea room at Stone Gate. When Nikki arrived in 2016, it received a £500,000 transformation.
She hopes that Kamla's perception will boost trade in the pub, which stages a poker night and has six letting rooms.
Bootham Tavern has also received a lot of praise on social media, with Google giving it 4.4 stars based on 774 reviews.
