Now, York officials go out to live television to find information after the money theft.
On Friday, March 21st, officers will be taking part in BBC Crimwatch Live. They highlight investigations into 10 robbers that occurred at a facility on the east side of York, all of which include gold jewelry.
The unit said the first theft occurred on Saturday, January 21st, with the most recent theft being last Sunday (March 16th).
“All victims are primarily of Asian heritage,” a police spokesman said. “The address is being targeted and the suspect is believed to use surveillance to exclude the property before committing a break-in.
“In Fulford, one victim had been stolen over £100,000 in gold. This property was also sentimental as it had been accumulated over generations by the victim's daughter.
“In another incident, a suitcase stolen by additional victims was stolen, including £6,000 in cash, £6,000 worth of jewelry, and further sentimental items including death certificates for his deceased wife.”

Officers are urging those who have information to help identify who are portrayed on CCTV to move forward as they may have information to assist in the investigation.
“This gold robbery spurt is a concern and a full investigation is underway. I think there is information in the community to help us,” said Sean Page, detective chief of North Yorkshire Police.
“In the meantime, our neighborhood police team has been working closely with our local community to issue crime prevention advice.
“I urge anyone with gold in their property to recognize that the price of gold has been rising recently. Think about the simple steps you can take to keep burglars away from your property.”
