Growing up in York, Sean Parkin has won countless James Bond film music and has produced a documentary about the city's most successful musicians who helped write the musical language of modern films.
The film will be on display at Everyman Cinema on Blossom Street on June 7 at 2:30pm and 4pm, followed by an after-party at The Crescent. All profits go to charities.
Sean's previous films focus on York's punk and new wave scene from the late 1970s to the 1980s.
His latest work covers the first half of Barry's career up until the early 1950s and the early 1970s.
The script was written and voiced by York-born musician Charlie Francis.

It tells the story of Barry's early career, and in addition to his work on the theme of Main James Bond, it details how he began writing the film's soundtrack. Plus, with goldfinger, Russian love, you live only twice, diamonds are eternal.
John Barry expert and biographer Jeff Leonard said the film was “cleverly constructed.”
“With the archival images and the help of films, John Barry's early life and career is told by his fellow York Sileman in this obvious documentary,” he said.
