“We are aiming to raise £ 13,200,” said Michael Fafella.
“Emmy was born in severe epilepsy and lack of gene. In other words, she couldn't walk or talk, so she spent her life in a wheelchair.”
Nevertheless, Michael and his wife, Jessica, remember the daughter who always smiled with a smile and did our biggest inspiration.
The 30 -year -old Fafela moved from his 12 -year -old native Poland to York, and currently owns a prestige car dealer Motoplex on the Wigington Road.
He accompanies the runner, Connor Krennan, the owner of his friend, Waldom Gym.
“He's the coach of my strength and conditioning that prepared for my battle.
“We have been training together for nearly a year, but we have raised about £ 6,000 and 45 % so far.
“Start on Filey on Wednesday, February 12, run along the Clevelandway, and finish with Motoplex late the next day.
“It is a very challenging terrain, especially for midwinter. We did not make it easy because we wanted to test ourselves both physically and mentally.”
Klennan immediately accepted Fafela's challenge.
“I immediately accepted this idea after losing Emmy, so I immediately accepted it.
“I have helped me by training and nutrition for his fight. We have become a good friend.
“The feature of the repetition of the microphone is to create a habit that opposes the results of the odds.
“There is no doubt that this run will be impossible even if you look at it anymore.
“Everyone who spends time with the microphone knows that his drive, determination, and focus are infected.
“Nevertheless, the microphone had a historical problem of the knee and the illness, so training was difficult, so I had to adapt to adversity.
“It's moving to see the harsh bonds that Mike and Jess have supported for fantastic families and friends.
“Mike and I have definitely decided to complete this challenge for such valuable principles.”
In the eight professional boxing battles, Fafela started sports more seriously after participating in a charity funding boxing event that York's Regions Gym arranged for a special care baby unit in the city.
“Emmy was taken care of there for the first three months of her life, which was easy.
“I just had to participate and won the battle with the point of falling in love with boxing.
“You need to check where to go after the challenge in February.
“For now, I'm focusing on the support of the epilepsy association, which is a charity that is very close to my wife's heart and my heart.”
