The distillery's “Mad Alice Bloody Orange” gin appeared this morning (Sunday, February 9th) on Alantic Mash's “Love Your Weekend.”
Cooking expert Jonathan Hun used York Gin's Blood Orange Gin to make breakfast martini cocktails as part of the ITV show's “Best of England” slot.
He calls it “an incredible gin” and says “it's bright, fruitful and wonderful.”
Comedian Alan Davis described gin as “really tasty” and agreed.
Natalie Hall, director of York Drinks Ltd, which owns York Gin, said:
“It's always great to touch the nation for our gin, and it's lovely to see our hosts and guests love York Jin.”
Jin is in a collaboration with Alicia Stubler, the award-winning tour guide for Mad Alice's Bloody Tour in York.
York Jin said that although Jin wasn't on the shelves until Halloween, he appeared on national television and convinced the boss to make a special batch earlier than planned.
It is currently available at Pavement's York Gin Shop and Yorkgin.com.
Natalie said: “After it appeared on ITV, the website was a bit busy. Maybe we'll make another batch – after all, we don't want to disappoint anyone fantasizing about crazy Alice's bloody orange gin !”
