A consortium led by proptech company Curbblock and backed by a former Premier League star and a serial entrepreneur has agreed a deal to acquire a holiday home park development site in Cornwall.
Investor Paul Massey and former Leeds United and Liverpool FC footballer Dominic Matteo have acquired the Valleybrook Holidays site in Peakswater, near Loei, through the Matteo Curbblock Partnership.
Mr. Massey recently left Adler & Allan when it was acquired by Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Eighteen months later, his business Aqua Consultants became part of the Environmental Risk Reduction Group. Mr Massey is currently CEO of Ohana Mua Holidays and will run the Peakswater site once completed.
Ohana Mua is poised to revolutionize the UK staycation and retreat market by creating an energy-efficient, AI-optimized park, all connected through seamless Web3 and blockchain technology. I am. They have assembled an experienced management team, acquired five parks, and plan to begin proof of concept at the first site.

The consortium's first site will be a £9m redevelopment project to create 24 energy efficient holiday lodges, with 10 already on site set to be refurbished.
Construction will be carried out by Northallerton-based company Rasico.
CurveBlock was founded in 2018 by Gary Woodhead, Joey Jones and Matthew Couch and aims to be a pioneer in financial inclusion in the real estate investment sector.
The company is working towards joining the Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA) Digital Security Sandbox, which will allow businesses to test innovative market propositions with real consumers. Curbblock has been working with regulators to change existing rules and open the door for consumers to invest in real estate.
Former Premier League footballer Dominic Mateo added:
“We are really excited about the potential of the Peakswater site and the opportunity in the pipeline to take a curb block approach and allow this team to deliver something special.”
